NetSendo v1.8.2: Advanced CRM Email Targeting is Here

Are you struggling to bridge the gap between your general subscriber lists and your high-value CRM contacts? Sending a campaign and wishing you could easily include a few key leads or exclude those in the middle of a sales call? We heard you, and we're excited to solve that problem today.

NetSendo v1.8.2 is a landmark release focused on deeply integrating your CRM data with your email marketing engine. This update introduces granular, contact-level targeting for your email broadcasts and powerful new actions to streamline your lead management workflow.

TL;DR: NetSendo v1.8.2 lets you send email broadcasts directly to individual CRM contacts, exclude specific contacts from campaigns, and convert subscribers to CRM leads with a single click from the subscribers list. Core automation and lead scoring reliability have also been significantly improved.

🚀 What's New in v1.8.2

This update is all about giving you surgical precision and efficiency in how you manage and communicate with your contacts. Let's break down the two headline features.

🎯

Direct CRM Broadcast Targeting

Select or exclude individual CRM contacts when sending email campaigns, independent of any list.

CRM Lead Quick Action

Instantly convert an email subscriber into a CRM lead with a new one-click action.

Direct CRM Contact Selection for Email

Previously, sending an email meant targeting a subscriber list. If you wanted to email a few specific leads from your CRM, you had to add them to a list first. Not anymore.

With v1.8.2, the broadcast creation page now includes a powerful CRM contact selector. Think of it like this: your subscriber list is a neighborhood, but the new selector lets you pick specific houses (CRM contacts) to deliver a special message to, or even skip houses that have a 'do not disturb' sign up (excluded contacts).

ℹ️ Note: You can now send a campaign exclusively to CRM contacts without selecting any subscriber list, giving you complete targeting freedom.

One-Click Subscriber-to-CRM Conversion

Your subscribers list is often the first point of contact. When a promising lead subscribes, you want to move them into your CRM for closer tracking. We've streamlined this process from minutes to seconds.

A new "Add to CRM" quick action button is now available next to each subscriber. If the subscriber isn't in your CRM, one click adds them. If they already exist, the system intelligently prevents duplicates and notifies you. It's a simple but massive workflow improvement.

💡 Benefits & Use Cases

These new features unlock powerful strategies for businesses of all types.

📈

SaaS: Hyper-Targeted Onboarding

Send a special "pro-tip" email to a hand-picked group of high-potential trial users from your CRM. At the same time, exclude users who are already in a sales conversation to avoid sending mixed signals.

🛒

E-commerce: VIP Customer Engagement

Your highest-value customers live in your CRM. Now you can easily send them an exclusive offer or an early-access announcement without needing to manage a separate "VIP" email list. Just search and select them directly.

🏢

Agencies: Streamlined Lead Management

A new lead subscribes via a client's website form. Instead of a multi-step manual process, your team can now click "Add to CRM" directly from the NetSendo subscriber list, instantly making that lead visible and actionable for the sales team.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Guide: Using the New CRM Tools

Let's walk through how to use these new features in your NetSendo dashboard.

Sending a Broadcast to Specific CRM Contacts

  1. Create a Broadcast

Navigate to Messages → Broadcasts and click "Create Broadcast" as you normally would.

  2. Find the CRM Selectors

On the "Recipients" tab, below the list selectors, you'll find two new fields: "CRM Contacts to Include" and "CRM Contacts to Exclude".

  3. Search and Select Contacts

Start typing a name, email, or company in the search box. A list of matching CRM contacts will appear. Click to add them to the inclusion or exclusion list.

  4. Send Your Campaign

That's it! NetSendo will calculate the final recipient count, ensuring no duplicates and respecting your exclusions, before sending.

Converting a Subscriber to a CRM Lead

  1. Navigate to Subscribers

Go to the Subscribers section from the main menu.

  2. Locate the Quick Action

In the list view, find the subscriber you want to add. To the right, in the "Actions" column, you'll see a new "Add to CRM" icon.

  3. Click to Convert

Click the icon. You'll receive a toast notification confirming the subscriber has been added as a CRM lead. If they already exist, you'll see a warning message instead.

🎯 Expert Tips

1
Combine Lists and CRM Contacts

For maximum power, combine both. Target a broad list (e.g., "Newsletter Subscribers") and use the CRM exclusion field to remove key accounts your sales team is actively engaging with.

2
Create Micro-Segments for A/B Testing

Use the CRM search to select a small, specific group of contacts (e.g., "Leads from Company X") and send them a targeted A/B test without creating a temporary list.

3
Trust Your Automations

This release includes major fixes for Lead Scoring and default Automations not loading. You can now rely on these systems to work correctly out-of-the-box, ensuring your lead scores are accurate and your automation workflows trigger as expected.

⚠️ Important: The bug fixes for Lead Scoring and Automations are applied automatically when you update. Your container's startup script now ensures default rules and automations are seeded correctly for all users.
