Configuration
Configure mailboxes, queue workers, and environment variables.
Mailboxes
NetSendo supports multiple mailboxes. You can configure them in the UI under Settings > Mailboxes.
- SMTP: any SMTP server or relay, such as Amazon SES, Mailgun or your own server (host, port, user, password).
- Gmail / Google Workspace: sends through the Gmail API after connecting your Google account with OAuth.
- SendGrid: sends through the SendGrid API.
- NMI (NetSendo Mail Infrastructure): an optional built-in MTA with dedicated IPs, IP warming, DKIM and blacklist monitoring, started with
docker compose --profile nmi up -d.
SMS providers
Connect an SMS gateway under Settings > SMS Providers: Twilio, Vonage, MessageBird, Plivo or SMSAPI.
Environment Variables
Key variables in .env (copied from .env.example) for the Docker setup:
APP_URL=http://localhost:5029 DB_CONNECTION=mysql DB_HOST=db DB_PORT=3306 DB_DATABASE=netsendo_prod DB_USERNAME=netsendo_user DB_PASSWORD=change-me REDIS_HOST=redis REDIS_PORT=6379 MAIL_HOST=mailpit MAIL_PORT=1025
In production set APP_URL to your domain and a strong DB_PASSWORD.
Queue Worker & Scheduler
NetSendo processes emails and imports in the background. Make sure the queue and scheduler containers are running.
How it works
- Campaigns: emails are queued in Redis and sent by the queue worker.
- Imports: large CSV imports are processed in chunks.
- Scheduler: runs
php artisan schedule:workto start scheduled campaigns and automations.
